Just A Little Something

Hello. I'm updating again, everyone! :D
Well, even I have to admit that I'm not that loyal to update again so soon. But there's something that I'd like to say to a couple of my friends, best friends, and pretty much every 15 year old who will be sitting for a major exam from tomorrow 'till next Tuesday. Also, since I'm already here typing like some lunatic, I was just wondering if any of you could help me out here. Does anyone happen to know how to uncover a lost Yahoo! ID? Sadly, I kinda forgot what was the Yahoo! ID I used for our Flickr photostream, and I can't upload any photos anymore. I've tried every ID I could possibly think of, but it still remains unfound. Is there any other option? Oh, golly geeezz. Well, the main thing is, I'd like to wish those who will be sitting for PMR tomorrow

ALL THE BEST
&&
GOOD LUCK! :D

Especially to Ate Joey, Michelle Wong, Wei Ying, Yi Shuen, Tze Kai, Aaron Tan, Jyee Wen, Jordan Khoo, Pei Shuen, Chin Chin, Queenie and a couple more whom I really can't think of right now since I'm kind of in a hurry. I know that you guys will be able to get straight A's since you guys are so unbelievably smart + hard working, I don't even know how you guys do it. LOL.. I really hope that all your hard work will pay off!! :D

We're Back! :D

Hi (:

I doubt that anyone still follows this blog ever since it died, but I'm gonna make an effort by posting anyway. The school is killing us with all the exam pressure, oh don't we all deserve a break? Well, I guess most of you would have noticed the new "photostream" thingie at our sidebar, and the fact that all the pictures in May Yean's previous post have dissapeared. Hehehe.. As you can see, I've transfered all of May Yean's pictures to our new Flickr photostream, which, believe me, will work if you give it some time. So just wait for a couple of days and the pictures will show, okay? I was thinking about May Yean's suggestion on having monthly contests taking pictures based on a theme, and the winner will be given a prize. It's great for us all to capture great photos and share it with everyone, since this is a Photography Club, but then the idea of prize giving isn't the very best as our club is currently facing some money problems (keep reading for our explanation). So, if you've captured a really great photo which you're awfully proud enough to show it off, do share it with us and we'll upload it to our photostream. How? Well, you can either upload it to an image host, and then send us the URL via the tagboard, or you can email it to us at seafield-photography@hotmail.com or at joanneee.candygram@hotmail.com (preferably this one 'cause it's more active). TYVM. (:
I'm sure if you're actually reading this you must be really anxious to find out the reason why we're facing money problems, which is also the reason why we suddenly decided to collect RM1 for our club fund. Well, long story short, okay? After much consideration, we've decided to hold a really HUGE event opened to all students of SMK Seafield. The event will remain a secret until we have the permission of Qistina Omar, the president of morning session's Kelab Seni Foto, who has yet to contact us. I'm really excited on hosting this event since it's nothing like any of the events that was ever held in our school before. Yes, I'm making you even more anxious! Bwahahaha! In order for us to hold the event, we're gonna need some money, that explains why we've been collecting RM1 from all of the club members. So, to those who has yet to pay, or shall I say, refuse to pay the club fund, we really need your support here. I'm pretty sure that if this major event goes well, all of us will benefit from it. And if you happen to be from an unbelievably wealthy family, of course you can contribute more to our club. Besides, the amount of club fund we're asking for isn't a lot of money. We had to pay RM5 last year, and even Rumah Unggu asks for RM3. We understand if some of you couldn't afford to pay us, then that's okay. But don't try to lie to us about it, 'cause we'll eventually find out. Hey, we've all been through this sort of thing before, you know.
Basically, I'll let you guys know when the event can be officially announced. (:

Oh, and to Chunyeen at the tagboard- I am so so so sorry for taking so long to reply. Our club is basically just like any other club, the only difference is probably only that we learn about photography during our meetings. Encik Ardi, our teacher advisor, teaches us how to use the functions on our cameras, the basic usage of photoshop, anything about photography, really. Hope this info helps you out abit! :D

Evenings

heyyy May Yean here :DDD
truly sry that i haven't got the time to help update this blog =) thanks to zhouyennn x) for her patience! :D Anyway, to keep this blog updated, i would like to share with all of you some photography tips not tips actually, just something i'm sharing with you guys, haha. And No, i don't have a DSLR or go for photography classes, nor do i know how to set an appature or function a manual camera. :PP *by now you all might be thinking- what kind of member is this?* ANYWAY, as i was saying, to those who live near Seafield, our school or in USJ2, have you ever noticed that the sunset is always sooo beautiful when school ended? Around 6.45- 7pm. sometimes, the sun is just beautiful, sometimes it has the clouds to add some colour to the magnificent 'pemandangan'. it's nature's beauty. So what do you do when you see nature's beauty? you capture it. At least, well that's what i do. :PP and here's some pictures to share with. =) I do not know how to copyright my pictures, so please just kindly don't rip it off the site. You should try taking some pictures during that period of time too. And share with us. :DD!
I was thinking if zhouyen would let us have this kind of monthly competitions, where we'll be given a theme, and the best photo taken related to the theme gets a prize or something. ;DD IF it's possible. haha, or we could just share our photos taken through this blog. :PP :D
It's just an idea though, nothings official until the presidents says it is. x) so till the next update!
:D

It's Been A While

Hello, all!
Sorry for neglecting this site for soooooo longgg again. Mid year exams are finally over, but we have another exam coming in around three weeks time. ):
Anyway, I finally got rid of the site's old blogskin and hereby present to you, a new look for SMK Seafield's official Kelab Seni Foto website! Bwahaha! This layout is pretty simple though.
First of all, we say good bye to our secretary, Tan Christine of 2Kukuh, who has already transferred to Tenby International School for a better education. For Christine has been our secretary for nearly half a year, we don't intend to find someone to replace her unless really necessary, for the time being. And we miss her already!
Chua May Yean, who is also the winner of the t-shirt designing competition, has been appointed as our club's new vice-president to replace our dear Faralia Sofea of 1Elok who transferred to a boarding school at the begining of the year. I just thought I needed someone to help update this website and all, and May Yean is really reliable as she is also our school's afternoon session head prefect. Congratulations to you, May Yean! :D
We are currently working on the price of Kelab Seni Foto's t-shirt and all, so please be patient while we do.
Oh, and I'd like to wish good luck to Low Jun Mae, one of our club member, who will be competing in a dance competition in Singapore (if I'm not mistaken) this Saturday.
Today, all the AJK's and I were expecting to take our club picture in the hall at the third period. We had Pn. Khatijah make an announcement so that all the AJK's will be there for the photo shoot. Our new vice-president, vice-secretary, treasurer, a couple of *ahem* temporary *ahem* AJK's, and I met up with En. Ardi.... Unfortunately, we found out that yesterday was the camera man's last day here and we have to take our club picture ourselves. LOL..

[updated]
I've added a new "Follower" widget here. So, to all the Kelab Seni Foto members out there, please support us by clicking "Follow". You are welcomed to follow us, too, even if you're not in Kelab Seni Foto. Thanks! :D

We are really, really, extremelyyyy sorry for the inconvenience caused! For those who have already paid for the roses, we will refund your money back as soon as possible! All orders that have been made during April has been canceled. Sorry for the inconvenience, everyone!

PikKYen: Ermm... You can bring your camera wheneverrrr you want. Though we hardly use cameras. I bring mine every week. (:

PikKYen: Okay, give me your full name and your class. Do you know anyone else that was present that day?

Esther: Hello! Yeah, thanks! :D

Passerby: I think I banned you. I'm not sure. Awwww... You can always go to a friend's house and borrow his/her computer to reply us back, or maybe a Cyber Cafe, whatever. I'll just continue to ban. Anyway, don't you have better things to do than spend time with us 'little kids'?

PikKYen: Yeah, we know. They made an announcement on Monday during assembly.

Li Anne: I'm not sure yet. En. Ardi said a while ago that he might wanna change the day to Wednesday. God knows. I'll let you all know after I've asked him. (:
Voting Poll:

Do state your reason why, too, at our tagboard. (: unless you've been banned...

Announcement:
To all the members of Photography Club who were present on the 23rd of April, morning to attend our meeting, please give us your names so that we could give you extra points even though we didn't have any meetings that day. We already marked the attendance of the following:
1. Jennifer Khoo of 2K
2. Tan Christine of 2K
3. Chen Zhou Yen of 2K
4. Nurul Akmar of 2K
5. Leem Kye Wen of 1C
6. Muhammad Harith of 2K
If you were present on that day, but we didn't mention your name on the list above, please let us know via our tagboard. :D
We actually have a list of names of the people who were present, but the list is currently with our oh-so-irresponsible treasurer, Jennifer Khoo, who is a vampire that isn't replying my messages. ):
Passerby: Honestly, I can come up with better banners than YOU in less than a minute. Anybody can make a banner like the one you made, even without photoshop. All you did was get an image as the background, and then put words on it. Even I can do that in Paint. You're sooo pathetic. Even if you really do think that you're better in making banners, why did you have to let the whole entire world know? To show off? This is life, you can't be so damn 'kiasu', okayyy. Anybody can do basic editing in photoshop. Not just you. So, if you really think that the banners that we made are so unbelievably hideous that your eyes hurt after seeing them even for one second, the cute, red 'cross' button on the upper right corner of your browser is there for a reason.

Bh, PikKYen, Jennifer, Farina, Christine: Hi.

Ate Joey: Hello! :D

Jennifer: ZY as in Ate Joey. >________<

PikKYen
: Yep, Seni Foto is on as usual tomorrow.
Anyway,
to Missy Pik Yen of http://lifeoflivingsarcasm-pikki.blogspot.com,
We have changed the code of the advertisement banner which you requested. Now your banner links to your new URL. Please click on the 'about us' navigation to get your new code. Thank you! :D

Sports Day

Posted by The Standing Commitee (AJK) of SMK Seafield's Photography Club on
Whoooop~ Our Sports Day has finally ended yesterday. Hope all of you had fun yesterday during Sports Day! :D
Sorry for not updating this site frequently for the past few weeks, we all have been really, very, extremely hectic for the past few weeks 'cause of all the projects we have + preparations for Sports Day.

That's our retarded sign for our marshmallows done by some retard whose name I shall not mention. The chocolate looks toxic. God knows where our sign for the lollipops and the iced lemon tea is. LOL.. As we mentioned in our previous post, for Sports Day, we were selling the following:
1. Marshmallows covered with chocolate with nibbed almond + colorful sprinkles as toppings. (Best selling)
2. Lollipops (2nd best selling)
3. Iced Lemon Tea (3rd best selling, as there were no ice)
We proudly made a total of RM108 and around 60 cents. Not bad as our stall was sooo miserable and hot because our tent was stolen by some other club.

Credits to:
- Jennifer Khoo of 2K
- Tan Christine of 2K
- Chen Zhou Yen of 2K
- Lam Lick Yin of 2K
- Brandon Chan of 2A
- Ooi Zheng Yi of 2K
- Gan Yue Yang of 2K
- Tan Wee Keat of 2K

... for helping us out with the cleaning, the selling, for keeping our stall 'company' the whole time, etc. We had some leftovers which we had given out to everyone for free when Sports Day was nearly ending. We'd like to thank everyoneeeeee who bought stuff from our stall, although our selling price for everything was considered as quite expensive. We reduced the price of the marshmallows by a dollar after we found out the cause of our business being bad. Business eventually became good thanks to our fellow classmates who helped us to sell the stuff with a lower price.
Although we have raised quite alot of money during Sports Day, ideas on how we can earn some more money will be highly appreciated. We are currently trying our best to raise as much money possible to save costs for our Kelab Seni Foto t-shirt and our school trip. So, if you have any ideas, do let us know via our tagboard. Thank you! :D

To Everyone At the Tagboard (except for 'passerby', of course) :

Thank you all for supporting Kelab Seni Foto! :D
We will try our best to provide you the best we can as the AJK of the club throughout the whole year. We reallyyyyyy appreciate your support truckloads. And to those who submitted a design for the t-shirt design competition we held, please do not hesitate to let us know what you would like us to reward you with, and we will try our best to do so. :D

Tags will be replied..... soon. (:

Mayy: LOL.. Congratulations once again! Hahaha.. I know you like Hey! Say! Jump! LOL.. :D

Sharmaine: Hello! Sure, you can help us out. Could you come to my class, 2 Kukuh, and look for me (Chen Zhou Yen) anytime during school hours? We have some things we need to discuss with you if you wanna help out. (:

Passerby: Hello to you, too. (: Thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate it truckloads. You take 15 whole minutes to make an advert banner? Hmm.. Not bad for a beginner. By the way, don't bother using anonymous names next time when you tag at our tagboard, 'cause we'll eventually check your IP address to see who you really are. Anyway, thanks for tagging! :D

Announcement for Sports Day

Posted by The Standing Commitee (AJK) of SMK Seafield's Photography Club on
As you all know, we're selling some food stuff during Sports Day to raise some money for our Photography Club. We did it last year and surprisingly, we made quite a lot of money.
The food is already all planned out:
1. Marshmallows covered with chocolate with toppings (like last year)
2. "Teh O' Ice Limau", also known as Iced Lemon Tea with a limau.
(from our survey, we concluded that a lot of people like drinking this after they finish their round of sports)
3. Lollipops
As Zhou Yen already pointed it out, any offers of helping us sell the food will be much appreciated as we might be a little short of staff.
If you have something on (like senamrobik or lompat jauh, etc..), you can leave the stall for a while to do your sport/senamrobik. But then, you'd have to come back and sell again. So, if you're part of senamrobik, you have to make sure that your head cheerleader wouldn't want you all to practice the whole time before your performance.
As for those who submitted their design in for the t-shirt designing competition, we have decided to award those who we think have put in effort to come up with the design.
If you can't help us to sell stuff on Sports Day, do help us out by buying a thing or two from our stall && maybe promote our stall to your friends? (:
Please inform us if you are interested in helping out!

- Tan Chrissy

Upcoming Sports Day

Posted by The Standing Commitee (AJK) of SMK Seafield's Photography Club on

Here's a preview of the winning design of the t-shirt design competition we held. You have to agree that it's very unique and nice. If you think the design you submitted is wayyy better than the one above, feel free to let us know, and we'll take a look at your design again. Though we noticed that most of you didn't put any effort into the design which you submitted to us, so we're currently still deciding whether or not to reward every single one of the participants, instead of just the ones who put effort into their designs.
May Yean's design was scanned into my computer, therefore the image isn't very clear. I've editted it abit so the image will look slightly clearer.
Anyway, as most of you should know by know, our sports day will be held at MPSJ on the 18th of April, just a few weeks away. We're planning to open a stall that day to sell food stuff, and we've decided to sell marshmallows, iced lemon tea and lollipops. Do pop by our stall to buy a thing or two. (:
Also, we're looking for people to help us out with the selling. Anyone interested? Though do keep in mind that sellers don't get free food either, unless we have some leftovers after sports day ended. If you're interested, please drop a tag at the tagboard and I'll let you know the details.

Congratulations to...

Hello, everyone! I know this post was supposed to be up on Saturday evening, but I got abit busy, so sorry everyone, for making you all wait for so long. Anyway, as I mentioned in the previous post, the winner of the t-shirt competition has been decided.
Before I officially announce the winner, we would like to thank everyone who participated in this contest. Every one of your designs are really nice and unique, but unfortunately, most of them are inappropriate for a school t-shirt.
It took us alot of consideration and time to decide the winner, so we apologize for taking such a longgggg time to decide.
The winner of the Photography T-shirt Design Competition is...

Chua May Yean from 2Budi (afternoon session's head prefect)

Congratulations to you, May Yean! We'll try to post her design up on the site so everyone will be able to see her amazing design soon. Though do note that we might modify her design a little to save costs. We'll go around from class to class to take orders for the photography club t-shirt soon. If you have enquiries, please do not hesitate to come look for me, Zhou Yen, in 2Kukuh. If you can't remember my oh-so-complicated name, feel free to look for Tan Christine (secretary of Kelab Seni Foto) also in 2Kukuh.
Though please don't come in if it's Pn. Phang's period. You are warned beforehand.
Once again, thank you to all those who have tried out and congratulations to May Yean! :D

Homework + New Vice-President

Posted by The Standing Commitee (AJK) of SMK Seafield's Photography Club on
Yesterday (26/02), we officially had our third Kelab Seni Foto meeting. For those who were absent, we learned about collages and En. Ardi asked us to group together with 2-3 friends to make a collage with one of the following titles:
a) My School
b) Flora & Fauna
c) My Anime
d) Structures
e) Technology
Please hand in your work during the next lesson to En. Ardi.

As our formal vice-president, Faralia Sofea has transfered to another school, we are now currently looking for a new vice-president to replace her absence. If you would like to nominate one of your friends, or if you would like to be promoted as vice-president, please let me know through the tagboard on the right, or let me know during our next lesson. We'll see if you are the one we're looking for. We're looking for someone friendly and easy to talk to, responsible, and definitely not rude. Rude people sucks! (:
